Introduction:

Acetamide is a colorless, transparent needle-shaped crystal with an odor like mouse secretion. Soluble in water, ethanol, chloroform, pyridine and glycerol, slightly soluble in ether.

Mainly used as analytical reagents, solvents, stabilizers, and plasticizers. It can also be used in organic synthesis, dye preparation, and as an antacid in cosmetics production.
